March 12th marked exactly 1 year to the date of the first mask mandate. WHOA...365 days. If you were like me, you never imagined where we are today. This is a hard topic and one that can be very inflammatory. I usually avoid volatile subjects; but I want to touch base about what the last 365 days have done to our bodies. We have been in constant stress mode. The gas pedal of our nervous system has been over stimulated while the brake pedal has been understimulated. I test this in my patients and have data that shows that everyone is experiencing this. This phenomenon is unhealthy...our bodies are stressed. And I’m not just talking about adults; this is happening with kids, too. We never saw it coming. We learned to adapt to the stress, but not how to handle the impact on our bodies. It’s time to think about our overall health once again. It’s time to really think about what is right for you and your family. What is right for you might not be what is right for your sister, your neighbor, etc.—and that’s okay! Only you can decide what is right for you and your family.
